One of the most exciting moments in wedding planning is when the bride says “yes” to her perfect dress for the perfect day. During dress alterations, it seems almost every modern bride has a bustle put on her wedding gown. The use of the bustle goes as far back as the 1800s, but the style has evolved over time. During the Victorian era, brides wore a frame beneath their dress that acted as a bustle, supporting their backs in their extremely large dresses. Another common use of the bustle not long after, was adding a loop to the end of the train of the dress. After the ceremony, the bride would walk around with the loop on her wrist, creating a floating and graceful look. Today, you will see bustles made in many different forms of hooks or buttons on the back of dresses. This holds up the train of the dress during the reception, preventing the bottom of the dress from getting dirty, and eliminating the need to carry a heavy dress around all night. So, we thank you. Happy bustling and happy planning! Here are some Pumpkin Coach Events brides in their beautiful dresses!

When planning a wedding, the bride and groom have many decisions to make. One of those being the theme of their big day. Many find it difficult deciding what idea or color scheme will work best. A fun and simple solution is going with a colorful wedding. Incorporating lots of bright colors into your decor, outfits, and stationary, is a bold and unique move when planning a wedding. If you decide to go the colorful route, you want to make sure you have a fair share representation of every color you choose. This includes your venue decor, the candy buffet, and of course, your centerpieces. Your bridesmaids can look stunning wearing different color dresses, complimenting your groomsmen’s ties. The bride’s beautiful bouquet can also match the bridal parties’ outfits, perhaps multiple shades of one palette. Designing a colorful wedding can turn out incredibly beautiful, if done the right way. Once everything comes together, you will have a vibrant, lovely day to remember. Here are a few examples below of weddings we at Pumpkin Coach Events, designed and planned–Happy Planning!

rachelle and tim's wedding dance

This happy couple’s history goes all the way back to high school. So, it was only fitting that they chose a school bus over a traditional limo to transport everyone to their wedding. The ceremony followed at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City. Rachelle and Tim said “I do” under the venue’s large, iconic Hoberman Sphere. The unique cocktail hour followed upstairs, where guests got to explore the LSC’s unique exhibits and installations including the “infinity climber”. To go along with the science theme, each guest had a “test tube” place card and found their seats using a periodic table of elements, that represented fun facts about the Bride and Groom. During the reception, family and friends danced the night away in the main lobby, while others enjoyed a slideshow of Rachelle and Tim playing over the big screen. We had so much fun designing and planning this unique, fantastic wedding. Congratulations Rachelle and Tim! Thank you for having Pumpkin Coach Events be a part of your special day!

Valentine’s Day is a special day for many, to celebrate the love they have for one another. It is only fitting that Bernadette and Vincent said “I do” on such a love-filled day, surrounded by their loved ones. We at Pumpkin Coach Events, feel so grateful to have been part of such an elaborate, beautiful day! We had so much fun with this wedding from the entire planning process, to the design elements, as well as florals.

The bride made quite the entrance in her stunning white gown, custom made Louboutin heels, and Swarovski covered bouquet, for her first glimpse with her excited groom to be. The ceremony followed in a room, filled with sparkle and many smiles. As two became one, the celebration continued into a fun cocktail hour where guests excitedly awaited the reception.

Crystals adorned the entire ballroom with candles, sparkle, and black and red accents tying everything together. Every guest found a special note, a sparkly brooch and a little red and black box of chocolates waiting for them at their place setting. The beautiful bride in a long, stunning red gown, entered the reception to dance with her groom, as American pop star and singer-songwriter, Taylor Dayne, serenaded the crowd. Excitement and surprise filled the room, making for quite a night to remember.

When you thought the fun was over, an after party followed! Cigars were rolled, more delicious food was served, and the dancing continued. As the night winded down, guests found a few surprises on their way out, including a customized hot waffle station, a long stemmed rose handed to every lady, and cupcake and chocolate favors, just to name a few. What an unforgettable and special way to spend a day all about love! Congratulations to the happy couple. Thank you Bernadette and Vinny for having Pumpkin Coach Events design, plan and coordinate your wedding day!

The best part of being a wedding and event planner is making someone’s dream come true.  At Pumpkin Coach Events, we have had the enjoyment of designing themes for New Year’s Eve, Halloween, and even Masquerade weddings! This past Valentine’s Day, we were so excited to bring a crystal-filled wedding to life! Guests were greeted by crystal-framed place cards and table numbers, favor boxes filled with chocolates, topped with sparkle, and individual brooches on every place setting. High and low varying centerpieces covered in flowers, crystals, and candles filled the room, blending beautifully with the ballroom’s large, crystal chandeliers.  The wedding cake was adorned in crystals and red flowers.  The sweetheart table was covered in bling from, the drink glasses, to the candle holders, to a cascading personalized crystal backdrop. These detailed photos below, courtesy of Images by Berit, show you how a little (or a lot) of sparkle can make for a stunning day to remember!

Krystin and David invited loved ones to The Big Apple to celebrate their union on a sunny December day. The ceremony and reception took place at The High Line Hotel, a historical building located in the middle of New York’s Chelsea Gallery District. Krystin and David braved the chilly weather for a fun photo shoot on the High Line, overlooking the busy streets of New York City. Before saying “I do”, the happy couple signed their beautiful Ketubah, personally made for them by a family member. A lantern-lit path showed family and friends the way to Krystin and David’s ceremony, featuring stunning gothic architecture. The reception, decorated with elaborate centerpieces, and gold accents, made for a unique and beautiful evening filled with dancing, photo booth fun, and many laughs. Mazel Tov to Krystin and David! Thank you for having Pumpkin Coach Events be a part of your special day!

Lindsay and John exchanged their vows on a sunny Fall day at Saints Peter and Paul in Hoboken, NJ. Following the ceremony, the Hudson River played the perfect backdrop for a lovely photo session. The celebration continued at the Liberty House in Jersey City, NJ where elegant drapery, colorful uplighting, and gold accents adorned the reception room. Lindsay and John’s unique layout featured table numbers matching some of their favorite professional athlete’s jersey numbers. Special memories were made as the happy couple danced the night away with their loved ones, with the stunning NYC skyline in the background. Danny and Victoria became husband and wife this September at The Inn at Fernbrook Farms in Chesterfield, NJ. The rain held off in perfect timing for the happy couple to marry in the Fernbrook gardens. The ceremony, decorated in white rose petals and lanterns, included a lovely candle lighting and sand ceremony. Cocktail hour followed in the 1750 historical home, where guests left special notes for Victoria and Danny on their wishing tree. The reception continued outside, adjacent to a beautiful farm with hundreds of sunflowers. Victoria and Danny changed into colorful Korean outfits for the remainder of the celebration and danced the night away with their loved ones. To conclude a wonderful evening, guests followed a path lit by lanterns, to a fire pit where they enjoyed delicious s’mores! This sweet, inseparable pair, smiling ear to ear the entire day, spread love and joy to everyone around them. Congratulations Victoria and Danny! Thank you for having Pumpkin Coach Events be a part of your special day!
