I’ve seen an article recently that said not to obsess over the carpets in your venue, that once everything is in place you’ll barely notice it. I respectfully disagree. Having worked in many NJ venues I came to the conclusion that there must be an unwritten code among venues to install the ugliest, most ghastly carpet! Yes, after hours of dancing and drinking, I am sure your guests will get used to “the view.” But I always say “first impressions are the strongest!” So I suggest you choose a venue that you absolutely love and then you can adjust your budget on flowers and other decorations. When you have beautiful classy venue you’ll only need touches of flowers here and there. My absolute favorite: The Addison Park! Congrats to my clients: Dianne and Ian who just booked their 2012 wedding there. It’ll be beautiful! 🙂
